Hi, I'm Kels!

The Best Sourdough Glazed Donuts

If you are looking for some more natural products for personal care, I am about to share my favorites for washing my face/body!

dry brush simple life by kels

Being a very low-maintenance person, my routine is pretty simple. I like to keep things natural in most areas of my life, but am not perfect. You will still find some ammonia hidden away because my husband thinks things are only clean if they smell like bleach!

I will talk household cleaning possibly another day, but for now, let’s discuss my super simple shower routine.

Recently I decided to add dry brushing into my life. My husband and I both do it at least a few times a week. Dry brush BEFORE you shower to slough off dead skin and also stimulate the lymphatic system.

Your lymphatic system is the body’s cleaning and detoxing system. It gets stuff moving and OUT. By using a dry brush and brushing towards your heart in small strokes, you are waking up that system and also opening up your pores.

Dry brushing is excellent for detoxing, giving the skin a great glow, and even helping get rid of stubborn cellulite. I use this dry brush.

Here are some of my other favorites, as mentioned in my FB live video (below):

LOLA– these are 100% organic cotton tampons.  these are your best option. Use my code: KHANSEN11 to get $5 off your first order!

If you can’t get over the idea of using a cup, the Lola tampons are great. But I am going to transition over to using this cup next month. I will let you know how THAT goes. It’s sanitary, effective, and will save me tons of money. All good things. I know that freaks a lot of people out, so I am here to experiment and report back!

This Charcoal Bar is my new favorite. It’s not drying at all, which I love.

Norwex body cloths – I have been washing my face with these cloths for a couple of years now and I will never use anything else. They are self-cleaning, super exfoliating, and get every bit of dirt!

Acure Brightening Scrub – this is a great face scrub that I have used off and on for a while. I used it more before I started with the charcoal bars.

Clary Calm oil blend – I can’t get through my time of the month without this! It helps all the symptoms – bloating, cramps, MOODS, it’s so great. I hated the smell at first but now it’s so calming to me.

Here is the full video, where I go into more detail! Sorry it’s conversational, live video will do that to you! 😉
