The Best Sourdough Glazed Donuts

Sorry that I have been missing in action this week. We moved on Saturday to our temporary winter home and it’s been chaos ever since. With Halloween taking place just a few days after moving, I am lucky my children had costumes unpacked and ready to go! We did have a great Halloween full of excitement and candy. My girls had their fill and got to pick a few favorites today. The rest went into the garbage tonight after they went to bed. I don’t know what it is, but there is something really satisfying about throwing candy away. They won’t even notice it’s gone. One thing that makes it easier is that my oldest is allergic to peanuts. We had to go through her candy carefully, and I was amazed at the number of Snickers, Butterfinger, and Reese’s she had. That was an easy fix!

While I don’t have any recipes or fact-filled posts to leave you with, I did come across an article that I found informative. As cold/flu season approaches, I find myself craving oranges and orange juice. I have been wanting more JUICE and seem to be more sensitive to the effects of sugar during the colder months. My pregnancy-induced heart burn doesn’t help with that, so it’s better to just stay away. Everyone could use a boost in immunity this time of year.

Take a look at the herbs listed in the following article, stay away from the leftover Halloween candy, and stay HEALTHY!

The boys ate about 3 pieces of candy, we put it up, and they completely forgot about it! They never asked for any more. I was so glad it didn't have to be a battle. I was prepared to do the switch witch just in case, though. 🙂
