When I started using MONAT hair products, I kept wishing they had a line for kids. My dreams have come true and I am so excited to tell you about MONAT junior!
My kids bathe regularly, but I only wash their hair once a week. Children don’t produce as much oil as teens and adults (pre-pubescent perks), so they don’t need to wash their hair as often.
Since my oldest was a baby I have been using Aveeno baby wash/shampoo for their hair because it seemed like a good idea. It was a bit more expensive than Johnson and Johnson, but it didn’t have a strong smell, which was really important to me.
Enter: my four year old. She has beautiful long, curly, unruly hair. It’s fine and tangles like no other. But she won’t let me touch it. EVER. It’s a nightmare to brush through, and we often both end up in tears or I am raising my voice a little too loud . . . ahem.
She doesn’t like it brushed, in a pony tail, in a braid, nothing. So it is just wild. She is my wild child who only wears dresses. It flows behind her in a great big tangle most of the time.
MONAT announced their kids line a few weeks ago and I shouted for joy! These products are specially formulated for the hair of a child, which is usually a lot more thin and breakable than ours.
The line includes a shampoo, conditioner, and detangler. They are non-toxic, tear-free, and don’t contain any nasty parabins or sulfates that you find in drugstore brands.
When I got my package I ripped into it. I coerced (literally had to bribe her with candy) my four year old to let me try the detangler and brush her hair. The results speak for themselves.
It’s incredibly soft and shiny.

Oh, my! I need to try this on my 5 year old! She has fine, curly hair that looks like a birds nest when she wakes up. Every morning we have the hair battle and is such a sad way to start our day. Where can I get a hold of this?!
