Today I am giving away something that is definitely one of my favorite things, and I wish everyone had a copy! the life-changing magic of tidying up is a great gift for anyone you think would like to simplify a bit. I love the method. I had tried others in the past (trying to go room by room, trying to start going through pictures and mementos, finding good organizational items from the store, etc). Nothing compares to the method laid out in this book. It’s simple, it’s efficient (especially for a family of 6), and it works. It changes lives. My husband and I saw a young mom in Costco (with husband and kids in tow, just like us) picking it up and looking at it, and we struck up a conversation with her. She was thrilled we had read it and wanted to know all about it. Just hearing our story about the book and what it did for us, she got emotional and teary eyed! It was sweet. She said just the thought of that freedom from all the “stuff” was overwhelming. I am still kicking myself for not getting her contact info so that I could catch up with her. I hope she went for it!
To win this copy . . . you better hurry, cause someone obviously wants it RIGHT NOW . . . tell me all about what you do on Christmas Eve. I am using you for ideas for my own family! If you already commented on FB or IG, just comment letting me know and I will add another entry for ya!
Alright, I’m getting in on this action. We don’t yet have Christmas Eve traditions. This year will be our first one at home, building our own traditions, since we were married… wow. Anyway, suggestions??

i commented on instagram as ‘teamsobus’. i’ve heard so many wonderful things about this book — and i’m very big about simplifying all the time. i just know i’d love it 🙂
On Christmas Eve we gather as a family and eat cheese fondue. After dinner, we all sit down and watch a movie together (the adults drink Irish coffees or homemade Irish cream!)
We watched Christmas movies together on Christmas Eve.
Sleepy Soup! Already told you on IG 🙂
It’s my little cousin’s birthday so we always head over for her party. Then we help the little ones write letters to Santa & read stories. The adults play games and visit after the kids go to bed. It’s my favourite day of the year 🙂
On Christmas Eve we always have a few different kinds of soups with buns and then have a little program and act out the nativity and do Christmas pjs
Open one present and gave hot chocolate!
