The Best Sourdough Glazed Donuts

If she can do it, YOU can do it!

More time spent in the bathroom today. My husband drank the Senna tea last night and had an almost instant reaction to it, so I guess everyone is different. I drank it again tonight before bed, and instead of it taking all night to get things going; I also had to go to the bathroom immediately. I was exhausted already, and wasn’t expecting that right before bed. Today I drank 2 quarts of juice throughout the day. I juice for my husband’s lunch each morning, and decided to make mine as well. I keep them in glass mason jars, filling the jar the rest of the way with water to prevent oxidization that might destroy some of the nutrients. Storing juice made from a masticating juicer for a few hours is fine. Our particular juicer states that juice will remain fresh for up to 48 hours, but I would never keep it that long. It helped to have some in the fridge that I could pour out into a glass mid-morning, and again for lunch. I juiced again around 3:30 PM, and for dinner around 6:30 PM. I always seem to have great energy from my juice in the morning that carries me well into the afternoon. However, I always reach a point where I feel tired and a little irritable. My girls have been very patient with me. I tried to do some yoga this morning but listened to my body and quit after about 10 minutes. I knew it would be too much for me at that point, and it’s been recommended that you rest as much as possible while on a juice fast/cleanse. I don’t like calling it a “fast” but that is how it’s referred almost everywhere I look. Fasting suggests deprivation, but I’m feeding my body better than I ever have, and cleansing it at the same time. Fast/cleanse, no matter what it’s called, people will think what they will about it.

I ask everyone to reserve judgment on those who attempt something like this, until you do your own research. Some sites that I found useful: doctoryourself.com, healthy-juicing.com, rawfoodlife.com, juicefasting.org, and allaboutfasting.com.
