Sourdough A Love Story
Hey there – I want to tell you my story. This wasn’t love at first sight, and there were many bumps and cold shoulders along the way, but I definitely got my happily ever after and I know you can too.
It started when my sister in law went to a class about natural yeast. She immediately called me and told me about it, knowing I would be interested in this starter. She was right. I got some from her and played around with it a bit here and there. I just thought it was a fun new way to make bread. Nothing more.
A couple of years later I was pregnant with my 4th baby and suddenly got really sick. I couldn’t keep anything in me, and was having crazy cramping and digestive issues. Long story short, I was diagnosed gluten intolerant. Which I hated. I am a baker. It’s my therapy and my outlet. I made bread for my family every week. I didn’t want to give it up. But I had to.
